Recap AzureFest - Bringing Azure Experts together

Introduction

Last week, I had the pleasure, to be part of AzureFest event together with colleques, organized at Sopra Steria in Nieuwegein. Azure Fest NL is a 100% free, single day, in-person community event for all things Azure. We bring together world-class local and international speakers sharing real world experiences, best practices and the latest developments on the Azure platform. The event features deep-dive technical sessions presented by industry experts. The conference took place on September 17, 2025 in-person audience of approximately 120+ attendees.

I'm full of inspiration, looking back on a great day yesterday at Azure Fest.

Warm Welcome

At the entrance you are welcomed with a nice swags "bag and databank" and seen by a lot of know faces.

Sessions

I attended a session by Jouni Heikniemi on AI, raw material, a tool or a solution. Stuart van der Lee's session on building your own MCP server also offered opportunities and best practices. As a people person, I also love networking with all those experts. Sharing knowledge while enjoying a hamburger 🍔 is, in my opinion, the best of both worlds.
